Stevie Moore in IPT?

I haven't talked to Stevie in a few months but the last I heard he was taking a job with the USPS and that's why he didn't enter any of the US Ipt qualifiers even though he had people lining up to stake him. Does anyone know why he decided to play in this one in the Netherlands? I will call him in a few days, but I don't want to call him in the middle of the tourney so any info is appreciated. I would love to see him qualify. I didn't understand why he didn't try any of the other qualifiers in the first place.

I haven't talked to Stevie or anyone around him since the DCC so this is the 1st I've heard of it. I was going to check out the IPT site when I got caught up reading the forum. I was quite surprised by this post.

I can only assume he was either given the time off and a chance to pursue this or maybe he ended up not liking the job. "Good" jobs aren't always so great.... I'm still paying the price for finding that out.

Either way, good luck to Stevie! I would love to see him on the IPT.

He got a bye in the first round and won his next two matches. He's in the winners bracket with 8 left on that side. So far so good.

It's excellent! He's playing against champions that do nothing but play pool. He is a part time player at best. He's always amazed me with his level of play as a part time player.

He's currently playing Takami.... unfortunately it just says "in progress" and they're not giving scores. :(

After quite a bit of soul searching he finally realized this was a great opportunity and the drain of the new job, which was only part time, so he was still tending bar at night got to him...
he said to me,"I can't believe it took me so long to figure it out.." so there you go.
I know he will play his heart out and maybe just see how good he really is.

Thanks for the info cuechick. Those that know Stevie, know he has the game to get there. If he doesn't pull through on this attempt, I've no doubt that he will eventually find his way onto the tour for next yr.

(where's my pics??? ;) )

UGH, Stevie lost 10-8.... now he's playing Chris Melling.... Had he won the last set, he would've only had to play 2 more matches to win the tour card... now he's got to duke it out for 5 matches. No one likes more work if they don't have to. :p
