I saw Archer use a new tool in the 2003 Mosconi cup to extend the length of his playing cue to make a long shot, rather than using a bridge. Anyone have information on these? Who makes them, how much, where can you get one?

I frequently like to play shots that require a alot of reach by stretching out rather than using a bridge. I think this might be a tool I would buy/use.

Which kind was it? The plastic tube that slides through the shaft and onto the butt....boy that sounded bad. :o

Or was it the grey thing that has a spin top that tightens/grips the cue when you put it on? I saw Rich Geiler put this type on his shaft to shoot a table length cut shut with his mechanical extension bridge....some people just have all the toys. :D

Like a rubber, it's an organic material that slips over your stick with the greatest of ease.
 
A guy i know had one of these 4 years ago, i got to use it some, i didn't like it because when u use it without the bridge, you are bridging off the middle part of the cue stick. I could see having one if you played a lot of snooker maybe. I wouldn't buy one and i do play snooker.
