A very interesting thing happened the other day when I was on jenn barrettas pro page I had spoke about the two stinger cues that I had bought here in the uk sometime ago and everyone wanted to know about them but, and this is a BIG but the guy who makes the Jericho Stinger cue came on and said that these where not the same as the cues he makes and that he would be taking action.

That is no skin off my nose but then he went onto say that when they thought of using the name stinger last year there was no-one using the name but, if he looks at the website in question 9 ball pool .co.uk then he will clearly see that they have been selling stinger cues in their online shop since january 14th 2004, so what I would like to know is in your opinion who is in the wrong is it the company that makes the Jericho Stinger or the company that has been selling the Stinger cues since jan 2004?

Your opinions would be much appreciated.

Stinger Cue

The reply you refer to on Jennifers web is by Tom Simpson the DEALER for the Stinger not the custom manufacturer. Jerry Powers of Jerico cues hasn't said a thing. Just thought I'd put my 2 cents in.
Bottom line...I believe the stinger is a great cue....the one made by Jerico cues, I don't know about the overseas version.

I am in absolute shock @ what I read on 9 ball .co.uk 2 minutes ago Mr Simpson has had the nerve to go to the 9 ball shop and write a review about the product in question the only thing is that he hasn't written a review at all, what he has done however is write a scathing attack on the overseas version of the stinger cue which he has said is a U.S patent and yet on the 26th of June he said that he did not know any other company was using the stinger name and yet he has had the cheek to go onto another site and claim that he had the idea for the name Stinger first even although someone had been using the name for a full year before he thought of it for his so called "THE WORLDS GREATEST JUMP/BREAK CUE EVER MADE". All in all I think the man has a right nerve as we say here in scotland.

Jesus, i cant see what the big deal is.

First off the Stinger cues what you use are basically just a cheap two piece house cue thats a rip off of Cuetec. There not available in the U.S and the only reason they keep getting confused with the Jerico Stinger is because you keep mentioning them in every thread that involves that cue.

That said i do think Tom Simpson was wrong to post a review bad mouthing it until everything is worked out. I mean anyone who's looking to buy a Jerico Stinger should be able to see straight away that that cue isn't one. The Stinger cues over here have been around quite a bit longer before 2004.

I think your making a big deal out of nothing
