Stolen Hercek cue

Okay, so this is what bothers me.

First of all, as an owner of a one-of-a-kind irreplaceable custom cue, my heart goes out to the owner. And I would consciously look for this cue as it has details I would remember.

But what should someone do if they spotted this cue? Call the police and report stolen goods? In a pool room? How can it be verified that it really is a stolen cue and the previous owner didn't have second thoughts about selling it and wanted it back? You know, sometimes the police are not that willing to hear your case and make a report. Sad to say, but true.

Okay all you Legal Eagles out there, tell us what to do to prove cue theft.

Get a license number or find out quietly who the person is who has it and contact the original owner. Don't even let the person know you think the cue is stolen. The person with it will most likely not be the thief but someone who bought it. If he thinks the cue is a stolen cue you will never see the cue again and he will never admit to ever having had it.

Hi Barbara,
U raised a good question and I bet u have several more questions on that line.If it were to be me,I will not pay any attention to the issue. There are so many cues that look alike from a distance and none of these cues are unique.Even if they are are unique, the uniqueness can only be evidenced by a close look. How is one going to have a close look of the cue?

Cheers

Personally, I don't think this cue is going to be showing up in any pool room to be played with or sold. It'll be going elsewhere, and in it's own due time.
My heart would be broken and crushed if this happened to me.

Don't look at me!

Actually I heard about this somewhere else and have had my eyes opened for a few weeks now. It's probably long gone from Chattnooga by now, though.

Only guilty people say things like that ;)

You're probably right that its long gone. I just really felt for the guy and figured I would post it. If it were me I'd probably still be puking.
