What are some of the stupid things you have heard of or seen in a pool hall? I got a couple.

When I was a kid I heard about a guy betting another guy in a local pool hall that a gun would blow up if you stuck your finger in the barrel when it was shot. Well needless to say this myth buster is not around anymore.

Saw a guy bet another guy that he could sink a ball into a pocket even if he had his hands covering it. He bet the guy a quarter and tossed it out on the table. The guy covered the pocked and the shooter shot the cueball at the quarter @ a high rate of speed. The ball jumped off the table and caught the 'winner' in the chest. It was one of the funniest things I have seen in pool hall.

Virtually all the tables at the local pool hall are restored antiques. Well one time many moons ago a ball got stuck in the return. This bozo trying to impress his girl picks up the end of the table and starts to shake it! I never saw the bartender move so fast.

I used to see nitwits do it all the time with bar boxes but that is the only time I have seen anyone stupid enough to do it with a 9 foot antique.
