Straight maple blemishes

Is it rare to find a completely clean blemish-free straight maple.

Thinking about using it as a forearm but afraid there may be lines and grains. Kind of like the shafts of today.

Or it’s very common.

Seeing grain feathers is not a blemish. Brown sugar lines or black mineral spots or streaks are considered blemishes even though they occur naturally..
