I wondered if anyone knew where I could find a nice mechanical counter mounted in box, to score straight pool matches? I have a gold crown four and they don't have counters in head rail like 3's and 2's did. I couldn't find any on ebay but if anyone knows whos makes them or sells them I would like as much info as possible to cantact them and buy one , Thanks , The Duck
 
As far as a mechanical counter mounted in box I don`t know where you could obtain one but I would strongly recommend that you install a string and beads type of counter. I have a GCIII and I still installed scoring beads and I prefer to use them instead of the counters installed on my table. In my opinion beads are the best way to score, they are always right out in the open to see.

I have beads, I need a box mechanical counter for tournaments and to take to other rooms.
 
chris lynch at abc west would know...he ordered a bunch of oak mounted score counters for chelsea billiards a few years ago when he was a manager there. the same mechanism brunswick uses, but mounted nicely in oak.

Why not just use a score sheet to score your points, fouls, safeties, then you wouldn't have to carry a bulky box around?
