I would like to know why people are allowed to stream matches without getting players okey or why players don't get compensated. a lot of streamers are making a living off players and players get nothing. I think its time players speak up. tell me your thoughts

i think if nobody streamed the pool industry would not be as big as it is to day....look at espn ...no more pool. there fore the streamers getting paid well that is to help with travel and equipment so we the people can enjoy pool as we do. all the streams i have been to the players are aware of the stream and say it's ok. i as a player have spoke and gave you my thoughts....

I think as a player it is a great thing for our sport that people are streaming. the more poolrooms/tournaments the better. without streaming pool would not be where its at today. Just stop and think for a second about the players and look at espn they dont play any pool matches at all.ITS LIKE POOL IS A DEAD SPORT . streamimg keeps it alive and makes it easy for people around the world to continue to watch pool.So to better answer your question i think if there were players that think like you are thinking then pool would be dead in a few years . So no i dont think players should be paid if there tournament match / action match is streamed , and further more if the player wishes not to be on the stream i am certain that the streamer would not stream there match at there request.

Why should pool be any different than any other televised sporting event or game? Nearly all professional and college sports are streamed/televised, poker is streamed/televised, bowling, golf, etc etc. The players/contestants are never compensated for it directly. However, it often...especially in professional sports, leads indirectly to the players being compensated higher in the form of money added to prizepools by sponsors in response to advertising proceeds, or higher ticket sales leading to increased salaries in the case of professional sports. Very rarely, if ever, do any televised/streaming proceeds go directly to the players/contestants, though, in any other sport or game so I'm not sure why it should/would be any different for pool.
