That must have been some match between Robb Saez and Earl Strickland with Earl winning 11-10.
I see that John Horsfall is in the same bracket with Earl. I hope they get to play each other and I get to see it.
They were just on TV in the semi-finals of the Challenge of Champions with John winning the tie breaker. John won the lag and then broke and ran out.
To point out how important all shots are for the pros the match started with Horsfall breaking and not making a ball. Earl elected to play safe but somehow left a narrow opening where John could not only see the 1 ball but make it too. Then he ran out the rack.
The whole match could have been completely different if that very first shot of Earl's would have stopped a half inch sooner.
But they both played well and was a terrific match.
