Fran used the word *prone* - so it s a clear answer! she said that it "COULD" be a criticial point. And she s very right- if you don t have a perfect timing, it s very easy to fall into this *curling issue* by executing this technique for a grip not perfectly.

That it works for many strong players is a fact-and noone here said that it would be a bad idea to *use* it. It s just not that easy.

You may want to go back and read the post sequence again.
Then the tone of the response was typical of many on AZB, it smacks of arrogance in that because it isn't Pool or American and it came from someone who is not in their "Instructor" fraternity they rubbish it.
Fact is I have never seen an American player that can cue straight yet, they all come across the ball one way or another and it's all down to lazy or poor technique. I can offer loads of examples of players using that grip to cue laser straight, can you?
