Stroke questions

So it seems common to read about a 'good' stroke and how it determines the action you can get on the CB. I was hoping someone could explain what happens on a 'bad' stroke that is limiting to the CB's potential action if the cue tip is only in contact with the CB for a miniscule fraction of a second? Is it simply that the cue tip is not hitting the CB at the point you are aiming at pre-shot or are there other factors? I think the BHE thread in the Aiming section is starting to touch on my own question (swiping vs BHE)

im not an instructor and your question might be a good one to post in the ask the instructor forum
my 1 cent
is
a poor stroke may not deilver the cue tip to your target
and/or may not be accelerating on impact thus decresing your ability to impart spin

When one has a bad stroke, they may ::
A) not hit the CB where they think they want to hit the CB
B) not hit the CB with the speed they want to hit the CB
C) not hit the CB with the cue accelerating they way they want the cue to accelerate
D) not hit the CB on the line they want to hit the CB on
E) not hit the CB on the vertical angle they want to hit the CB on

All of this maters in that milisecond of contact, the rest, not so much.

Thanks for the breakdown!

I guess it makes sense, a cross table draw shot for an example has a small margin for error on tip to CB contact and the power required for the shot makes it harder with an inconsistent stroke?

Sidebar, anyone know that guy that has to slam them in to shoot straight? Haven't seen one in a while personally but I always enjoyed watching them shoot OBs off the table :D
