Super Aramith Pro, VS. Super Aramith Pro TV SET

I just sold a set of Super Pro that I owned and bought a TV set. Both ball sets are the same and weigh the same, all 5.9-6.0oz. I did have a first issue Aramith "measle" cue ball that weighed between 5.7-5.8oz. I sold it. I suspect that the first batch were pulled off the market due to quality control but this is a hunch only.

Its the knock-off red circle cue balls that drive me nuts--the ones I've seen are lighter and sometimes smaller.

Interesting. I have a friend who bought a Pro Cup cue ball for the few weeks it was available on it's own. He called the dealer he bought it from afterwards to get another one and was told they'd all been called back in, but at the time we assumed it was a marketing decision to drive up demand for the new Super Pro sets. I'll see if I can weigh it against my Red Circle and Logo cue balls.

Can't tell you much about the Centenial ball crap.

But, I just ordered 25 sets of Super Aramith Pro balls and I was told the Super Pros are the exact same everything as the Pro TV balls, except for the color of a few balls and the Overly dotted cue ball on the pro TV set of balls.

Everything, including dimensions and finish, are exactly the same.....

Incedently, anything less than Super Aramith Pros, especially for a Pool Hall, is a watse of time and money. Super Armamith stay cleaner, longer, and wear the felt Considerably slower than any other ball out there..

Hey Jedi V Man. Do you know what size balls you purchased? Aramith has 3 sizes they offer. In the pool hall I play at, the Aramith are considerably larger than the Centenials that we used before. This is fact. We comapared both sets against each other.

3 different sizes? That would explain it very easily. Did they get ordered from SULAC or from a distributor?

Could be that the comments on t.v. were taken out of context. Who knows.

Be interesting to see what the maximum size available is.

Max size is I think 2 3/8" , think these are made for use on some coin-op tables.
