Hi all, I've put every bit of muscle into loosening the Allen bolt in my Mezz. Any tricks for us do it yourselfers on how to loosen it and make it easier to remove with our own hex keys? It's on really tight!

Thanks

It could be glued in, which would mean a heated allen wrench to sit on it for a while to loosen the glue.

It shouldnt be glued, atleast the factory doesnt do that. I have had one Mezz with a really tight weight bolt, got it off by using a longer hex key and an alot of force.

Good luck with yours :)

That's the way I remove stuck or glued weight bolts. I use a long allen wrench and heat it with a torch so that it transfers the heat to the bolt. If it has a slotted screw I have a large screw driver where I had drilled a center in the back of the handle so that I can align the screwdriver to the cue and then heat the barrel of the screwdriver and rock the chuck back and forth to break the bond loose.
