Would someone mind explaining what is meant by Szamboti-style and Bushka-style cues? Thanks.

You just have to look at a lot of Szamboti's and Balabushka's until you start to recognize the styles. Szamboti's have lots of peacocks. Balabushka's have lots of diamonds and dots. Go to websites that have good photos and pay attention to what you are looking at.

It means a few things. Basically, it means a traditional-style cue. The points are above the wrap. The inlays are diamonds, circles, peacocks, squares and there are many more. Generally there were 4 veneers on the points, but sometimes not. It's a term generally used to describe an older-fashioned cue.

Here is an example of "peacock" inlays made popular by Gus Szamboti that point up and down in a Jim White cue.
