table question

I'm having some trouble with the slate joints buckling on my table. Once they buckled when I had it in a cool basement that I warmed up with a master heater. Now I'm in Florida and have it in a garage. The temperature fluctuations seem to throw the slate joints out of kilter. Is there a temperature range I need to maintain to stoop this or any remedy. Thanks in advance for any input.

Are you sure the slate is firmly attached to the frame ?? If the anwers is Yes", then it sounds like either the frame is shifting with temperature changes (??) or the frame itself isn't strong enough, maybe a bit of both.
