Table restoration question

I have bought a Saunier Wilhelm 4-1/2 X 9 table that looks alot like a Brunswick Centenial. The corners are made of aluminum and I'm wondering if I should try to have them buffed and polished or if I would be better off to paint them along with the skirting and legs. Any opinions here? Thanks

you can do several things to aluminum. You can buff it to a chrome-like finish and spray it with clear lacquer to keep it from corroding, you can have it brite anodized after it's buffed or sanded, or you can actually get it Chrome plated.
