Watching Mosconi Cup right now and I noticed they are racking the balls at the head end of the table. You can tell by the blue Diamond name plate. Do you think this was an oversight or done with a purpose?

Unless they are playing on a Pro-Am ball return table, I don't think it matters. Most new Diamond tables, that I've seen, have a slot at each end for a rack.
The referees have been just tossing the rack under the table...
