Tactiq rubber wrap

I have a CRBN CF cue that is wrapless. My hands sweat like crazy, which makes this cue difficult for me to use. Tactiq offers a rubberized wrap of varying thicknesses, but states that the cue wrap area must be cut down by the thickness of the wrap by a cuemaker.

Has anyone ever tried cutting into the wrap area of a CF butt to install an wrap and if so, how did it work out?

Thanks in advance for any info provided!

The wall thickness of a CF tube is pretty thin compared to the amount needed to undercut a wrap channel. You're playing with fire unless you specifically know the that all thickness.

Not sure what you are currently playng with. But having a cuemaker cut down a butt and install a wrap can be costly. Why not just buy a new cue.

Milling a wrap groove into a CF tube is very different from wood. First off all, I would need to know the thickness and construction of the tube. Milling almost a mm down can totally ruin the CF layup construction. As with any cue where people want's to do major changes. My advice is always to just buy a cue with the specs you actually want.
