Bought another Taig Mill off of Craigslist so I am making it available here after removing the steppers and controller I wanted. I was going to keep it and put my old steppers on it, but they are not included in the price unless you buy the controller below also.
For sale or trade:
Taig Micro Mill CNC ready with Nema 23 motor mounts
Taig part# 2018CR
Continuous duty motor upgrade
SOLD
This Mill does not have the ER spindle and was manufactured in 2004 according to the seller. Has some rust but all 3 axis move smoothly and I did see it run before I bought it. Includes some collets but I haven't checked the sizes or even counted them. The table does have a single circular bit of damage in the middle from a cutting tool. The leadscrews are still in good shape but the mill will likely need adjusting as the guy I got it from really didn't know how to use it and it will have been moved twice once you get it home.
Upgrade the spindle to a Kress 1050 I bought as a backup and used once for approximately 10 minutes just to test it out. It has both the 1/4 and 1/8 collets, uncut european cord and the mount to go to the Taig mill as offered by Brianna. SOLD in place of Taig headstock and motor or SOLD in addition to the standard headstock and motor. Not for sale or trade seperate from the Mill unless the Mill sells without it first.
I do have my steppers and controller that are also available for sale or trade if you want them. It is the old pre 2003 Microproto 2000HD controller and the steppers are SST58D5811 which are not compatible with Geckos G540 (too high inductance). The controller is intended for DOS based software and I can provide SuperCAM if interested. If you search online supposedly this can be used with Mach 3 but for 3 axis only. Controller can be upgraded to 4 axis $150 requires 2 parallel ports, or 4 axis with Mach 3 compatibility $200 using 1 parallel port through Microproto.
SOLD
All of the above SOLDAlso available 2 DC Drive motor controllers as packaged with the Penn State Industries motor and controller upgrade package. I upgraded the DC Drives and these have less than 10 hours use and look new.
SOLDI do not want to ship the Mill. Somewhat local pick up or meet along I-5 in SW Washington State between Longview and Tacoma?
For trades I am interested in Taig based lathe stuff. Cool wood except Birdseye maple and Cocobolo. Maybe even the right cue or case. If you PM your interest please post here to preserve order. Offer away you never know...
Sorry about the sideways pics.
Thanks
