Ok let's see now, 6 inch 7/16-14 tap, hey Dave you come up with a new design where the insert is 6 inches up the shaft. Sounds more like something Chester would have tried.

I use 7/16 14 threaded rod to weight my cues and use a long tap...atlas has them...

Most likely any Industrial Cutting Tool will be able to get you one.
