Teen who play billiards

As a teen who plays I was wondering who can I get in to competitive pool. I live in Charleston S.C. and I'm 17. I love to play but all the halls near me have an 18 year old age requirement. I play fighting games competitively but I would really like to get into pool. Is there any advice on how to get better as a teen.

You might want to take a look at what the Billiard Education Foundation has to offer. (Google them online) They are the recognized U.S. Junior Billiard organization in the country. But they have an age limit. I think you can still participate in their events if you are 18, but that would be the oldest.

Some billiard rooms allow underage players during off-hours if they are accompanied by a parent or guardian. Maybe you can find a place like that until you are old enough to go there on your own. It depends on the laws in your state and locality.

Not sure about local laws, but you might be allowed into the hall if accompanied by a parent or legal guardian?

I suggest you post this in the main forum.
Not really an instruction issue.
