I hate to add $10 to player's expenses, but in the Men's and Women's open/advanced division it says $65 entry + $35 green fee. That adds up to $100, not the $90 it shows.

Can someone confirm when the Women's Team starts? The flyer on playbca.com says Saturday morning, but I read other places (including here and on FB) that say Friday morning. HELP lol

Actually there has been a change in the starting time for Women's Teams. It is Friday 6 PM

I have another question someone else is asking. Do you have to play in the same league to play in Scotch Doubles? And can Master players play in it? (only one partner being a master player)

Scotch answer

you do not have to come from the same league but you do have to come from Texas.

unfortunately you cannot have a master as one of the Scotch doubles players

Okay, thank you.

One final question I hope lol, if enough master players show will they have a master's singles tourney like they have before? I presume they would sign up on site like previous years.

Yes and Yes

Yes, if enough Master level players sign up there will be a Master Singles Division.

Need a minimum of 8 to run it.

Yes, sign up at the venue as in previous years.

So the rumor of not lighting the tables has no legs ? And the place definitely holds 64 tables...and sadly open teams starts at 9 a.m. Fri.

Hope to see a large event.

Jim,
NOT sure about rumors. I only deal with the facts I know. :)

There is no plan to put lights on tables. Some tests were done while touring the buildings and there is more than enough lighting already in place.

This venue has more space than the last. Yes there will be more than 64 tables.

Lastly, sadly the teams do start at 9 Friday. Starting them any later and we'll be there until Monday finishing up.

Green Fees

Don't forget that there will be lots of mini tournaments and a 2nd chance tournament for most divisions. There will be ample opportunity to use that green fee. If you are registered to play in any event at the tournament your green fee also covers the 2nd chance table fees and mini tournaments plus practice time

LOVE that there are no coins!! WOO-WOO! All Open tables. WOW. :)
