Zinzola cue#50, original cost of $2k
description from his website:
Cue #50 Brazilian Rosewood on Birds Eye Maple - Birds Eye Maple Forearm with Four Brazilian Rosewood Points. Veneers of Maple, Rosewood, Maple and Black with Accenting Blacks between each color. Signature Zinzola Rings in each position. Brazilian Rosewood Butt. Each Point contains an Ivory Tiffany Diamond with a Sterling Silver Tiffany Diamond Inside. Butt Contains Four Ivory Ovals, Each Inlayed with a Black Ebony Oval. Each Ebony Oval Contains Four Tiny Sterling Silver Tiffany Diamonds and a Larger Ivory Tiffany Diamond with a Sterling Silver Diamond Inside. Ivory Joint and Butt Cap. Three Shafts with Ivory Joints. Matching Joint Protectors. Elephant Ear Wrap.
Ivory Capped joint w/ radial pin.
butt - 15.89 oz
shaft 1 - 3.82 oz w/ 12.91 mm, lightly used, small roll w/ butt, seems straight separate
shaft 2 - 3.73 oz w/ 12.76 mm, chalked once, small roll w/ butt, seems straight separate
shaft 3 - 3.74 oz w/ 12.87 mm, unused and straight
The rolls don't affect play at all, but they're noticeable so I just wanted to mention it. The inlays on this cue aren't all 100%. Upon very close inspection with your eyeball right on the cue, there are several inlays that are off. We can talk over the phone for a better description or you can return it for a refund if not satisfied. Maybe you can talk to Tony to work something out. Just wanted to mention this for all you detail nuts out there.
This cue would be perfect for me if it wasn't for the weight. The tip on shaft 1 is a carefully chosen and pressed lepro. Combined w/ the nice long taper, this cue hits like a Cadillac. Other tips are superpro.
$1400 postal MO takes it.
Next up is a Joe Callaluca w/ John Davis blank. I love the color scheme, design, and all that ivory. Unfortunately it's up for sale too. Original cost of $1.5k
butt - 14.9 oz
shaft 1 - 4.08 oz w/ 13.12 mm, triangle
shaft 2 - 4.07 oz w/ 13.15 mm, triangle
Everything white is ivory. This is a cue that I don't mind keeping because all the specs are on target for me. The points are not all lined up perfect and there are some glue marks between some of the veneers. There are several tiny dings in the cue. Sort of like a cue rolling on the table that has a few salt crystals on it. Gives the cue several tiny dot impressions on the forearm. Just wanted to mention all this for all the detail nuts out there so there are no surprises.
