Professional play in Texas
I don't know how soon you want to watch professionals play in Texas but August 26-31 in Round Rock near Austin the Texas Open Nine Ball Championship will be held at G Q's and there will be a host of terrific players in attendance. Eight time winner Bob Vanover, one of the truly terrific genleman of Pocket Billiards, Paul Gurnsey a National BCA Champ, Jeremy Jones, of Mosconi Cup and World Champion One Pocket Note, Dennis Strickland, Danny Medina, Vivian Villeral, Belinda Campos, Tony Watson, Cliff Joyner and many others will be in attendance, Seating is close to the action and matches are from ten in morning to 11 at night. You can catch Dick Lane playing straight pool at Rack Daddy's in Dallas at the corner of Mockingbird and Abrams most any week night, and CJ Wiley owns a room in Garland where professionals frequently play and practice. Bob Vanover owns a room in Dallas known as Pugsleys Library, Dick Lane and Paul Driskell who all play on Mizeraks Senior tour play at Rack Daddys occasionally if you just enjoy watching practice.
