Friday night at our weekly tournament William Woodworth came in with his traveling buddy Monroe Jones. He came up to me asked if there was a tournament and I said yes, he introduced himself to me, which by coincidence Doug Bourque (retired cuemaker) was also shooting in the tournament Doug of course was surprised to see Mr. Woodworth.
Anyways I asked him if he brought up any cues he said yes, so he brought them in and wow! he makes a really great product! He showed me his jump/break cue and I was quite curious about his shaft wood that he uses. So he told me as soon as a table opens up to hit a rack, we had 35 players that night so the tables were busy, a table is open for about 2 seconds and I take his J/B cue and attemt a full cue jump real quick. I jump a full ball like it was nothing on a barbox and it has a leather tip. So now I can't wait till the tournament winds down to try to break a rack, it does and let me tell you how impressed with his J/B cue it really spreads them and makes it easy to park the rock.
I bought one and am very happy, Thanks Mr Woodworth for stopping in it was a pleasure to meet you and I hope you find some really good wood in Michigan.
