Mostly some type of gel super glue. Loctite, gorilla, etc.. Make sure it is fresh.

You're right. I bought some Gorilla glue gel and once it age a bit, it was worthless. Thank you.

A quality CA, like Loctite professional, 401 or 454 works well. Write the date you opened the bottle on the bottle itself and toss it after about a month.

Oddly enough, I have purchased gorilla glue gel a couple times and it was so thick I could not get it out of the bottle.
Now when I'm in Lowes or Depot I turn the bottles upside down and the glue never moves at all. Every bottle every time.

I cut a few 1 1/2 diameter pieces of PVC and store small bottles upside down in them. Glue, Cue Slick, etc.
