I have never worked with them, but, have spoken with them on the phone a couple of times. Very nice guys and they been in business a long time. They would fall into the restorer category IMO. The rail work stuff is so specialized and guys like Jack Z( and a few others I would TRUST) have the market covered for that. I subcontract him for all my subrail replacement & recalibration stuff. It takes so long to learn a trade like that to be anywhere near as good as a guy like him, I simply would rather just pay him. All the knowledge and tooling required is a heavy load. Serious railwork and veneering are the main 2 things I send out. Being a business minded person I think it is a better route for my customer and my business model. Sure, I prefer to do as much as I can, but, I know my limits. I already wear enough hats in my business and having a little help is nice. Its nice to have people you can rely on!! Just my $0.02Does anybody have experience with the guys at The Billiard Barn in Newville, PA (outside of Carlisle)? They have quite a few vintage tables, and I‘d like to know if they do quality restoration.
thanks
OP: What are you considering them for?? A table you have or they have? What brand & model??

I am willing to chat with you. Give me a call sometime if you like.I‘m on the lookout for a Centenial/Anniversary for the right price, so I’m trying to learn who does good work and who doesn’t. (My wife thinks the feet on the CG look “cheap” so the right price for a CG is very low!) I’d actually enjoy doing the resto myself and getting a mechanic to do the set-up, but I haven’t found anything “as-is” to work on.
