Hello everyone. Lately, I have been watching a lot of videos of Bustamante and SVB, paying particular attention to each of their strokes. As I watch them more closely, it seems to be that Shane's stroke has alot of the same nuances as Francisco's does, only his set is longer, and his backstroke is slower. Whatever it may be, It is a beautiful thing to watch. I think I may be able to incorporate some small details into my own stroke. Anyone else notice this? Thoughts......

The only thing they have in common is the longer stroke. Busti uses his wrist / index finger and Shane uses his forearm to pull the trigger. Busti's stroke is on a flat / horizontal plane, and Shane's is on a vertical plane. The similarities you are noticing in their strokes is the high level of confidence and presence they command at the table.

And both have a repeatable straight stroke :grin-square:

sry, i couldn t resist^^

Your not the only one.

I have watched SVB stroke also or studied it would be a better word and it looks like he has a stroke for short range shots with more CB Control and what I call a traveling stroke when he wants to move the CB long distances. The long distance stroke appears to look like what is known in the boxing world as an upper cut. He uses this one with English when the CB is far away from the OB. It appears to lift the CB off the table thus saving the spin that he puts on it so that when it gets to the OB it still has the English on it that he needs to get where he is going. When mere mortals shoot shots with English with the CB and OB far away from one another the table sucks up the spin that we put on it so there is very little or none left when it gets to the OB so we compensate by shooting harder and that defeats the purpose of English all together (Buddy Hall 9 ball position tape by accu-stats). I watch SVB and Corey because Busti gets me a confused.

Nice Observation by you.
