Here it is, the first and likely the last Calabrese pro tipper for sale or trade on AZ. These were sold mail order in the early '90s for $299.95 plus shipping and handling in the classifieds at the back of pool and billiards magazines. I bought it new in '93 and just found it in the pouch of one of my cases I hadn't touched in more than 15 years. So why not trade it for something I want more.
It sands the surface of the ferrule square, holds the tip centered to the shaft for gluing, and trims the excess overhang of the tip off flush with the ferrule (with practice). Made of machined aluminum and brass and fits in most accessory pouches on cases. Uses small razor knife blades available at hardware stores and you can cut self adhesive sand paper pads or discs to fit. Comes with the original yellowed vinyl sleeves to protect the shaft when clamped in the tool. Will do tips from 9 - 17mm in diameter.
I don't know what to value it at as I have never seen one sold since new. Make a trade offer, you never know.
