I have been watching the DCC since it started. Thanks to my very laid back job with a fast internet connection I have been very fortunate. My main interest was watching the One Pocket games. I have never played One Pocket before. Where I play at most guys are into 9-ball and the ones that will play with me want me to pay for my lessons if you catch my drift.
Well I have been able to catch most if not all of the one pocket matches thus far and I can't believe how much I have learned about the game. Not only from watching the players play but in hearing the commentary as the players are playing, evaluating each shot. I learned strategy, position play, when to go offensive, when to play defense, how to play defense and the reasons behind it all.
This was something that I was not expecting, mainly because I have never watched any other sport and learned how to play. I've played most major sports at a competitve level and never learned anything from casual observation, even with commentary. More than I ever got from watching the crap they display on ESPN.
