For over 30 years, BCA Master Instructor, Rod Gustafson has provided free pool school every Sunday at the Warehouse Saloon in Austin,TX. Rod recently turned 65 and has officially retired from pool school. His dedication and enthusiasm in promoting the game of pool will be greatly missed. I am proud to know him as a great teacher and a friend.

I remember Rod fondly from about 91-93. Went to a few of his clinics, and also the Monday (IIRC) tournaments he ran back then.

Here's to a happy retirement!

He stated in his email about pool school that he is still available for lessons.

He started doing the free pool school in 1984. That shows an amazing amount of dedication on his part to give back like that for over 30 years.
 
31 years!

I had the pleasure of meeting Rod in the late 80's when he ran the Monday night tourneys at the Warehouse. He is still around and I actually got to play BCA with him two years ago. He is always willing to share his knowledge and promoted pool in Austin more than any other single individual. Rod is one of the good guys.

He supported and contributed to anyone for the betterment of the game.
