Any of you older guys around Kentucky know anything about Toby Kavanaugh? Evidently he owned a room in Lexington, and was good friends with Walter Tevis. Tevis supposedly used Toby as a model in "The Hustler" for the character "Findley" --a wealthy gentleman billiards gambler played by that great character actor Murray Hamilton. Reportedly Toby was killed in his home in 1994. Any stories about Toby's Billiards, or about his home match-ups?
