Ok yes. I know that this is only the first year and that, the first tornament is done. Yes. I hear that there is still a LOT of speculation, concerning the IPT. However, deep...way deep, in the back of my mind, I'm actually thinking about taking a stab at the IPT.
Call me crazy, call me stupid, but I don't plan to ever be a "hustler/money" player. (Ok, if you're playing in a tourney, your playing for money, work with me here.) Plus, everybody and their mom, wants to sandbag in the leagues, well, that is until you're locked at the highest level.
Yeah, the money in this tour is awesome...but man. Did you see the trophy that Efren won!?!
Thorsten's was nice...but man, the KOTH trophy, was tight!
To me, this is as just as important as the money...in a weird kind of way. I mean, as cool as all the "hustler" stories sound, I don't want a gun put to my head, just because I took $1000 to $2000 of your money, even after we agreed on the game! I'm sure there are some of us that want the cool trophy, not to mention, win some big money...without getting threatened...there's got to be.
If I've read and heard right, Thorsten (and I'm sure there are others...) doesn't gamble, but he practices a hell of a lot though. So, I ask again...who's thinking foward, when the 8-ball World Open, is at $700,000+ for first place, and you made the qualifier for the tournament or better yet, got your card.
