Does anyone know of any good B tournaments in the tri state area coming soon? Maybe even an A and B tournament without any "REAL" strong players. Any info would be appreciated.

You're kidding me, right? What kind of a question is that?

The kind you ask. If you don't want to answer it find a different thread. I'm looking for some good tournaments in the tri state area. Simple enough. If you don't know of any or are not from around that area no big deal but you don't have to throw a jab at me. sheesh.

EDIT: I'll post it in the tournament forum. I'm new here and forgot there was a tournament forum. Or if the moderater sees this can you simply move it over there for me?

Ok, ok... I'll be a bit more specific with my question so that you can be a llttle more specific with yours. For starters, WHICH Tri-State area do you speak of? I know the New York City Tri-State area but know there are other regions in the country that use the same phrase.

Secondly, when you say you don't want to play in anything with any strong players, is that because you're looking for something amateur and you don't want to play professionals or that you're looking for something to rob and want the wire?

This questions sounds like, "I'm hungry but I don't want to eat" or "I need money but I don't want to work". You want to play in a tournament without any "REAL" strong players?!? You're looking in the wrong direction if you want to play in an A or B tournament. A players are strong players and B players can have a good day. What it sounds like you want to play in is a B,C tournament; not an A, B one. If you don't think A players are strong, then you must not know the game very well to begin with.

Heres a good question Y don't the tri state tourment owner let me play as a b ? Now that 's a good question ..

Had jude u've seen me play hell u can give me the 6 and i still can't win :)
think about get back to me ....

a's and b's

seems to me the poster wants to play with A's and B's as this is probably his speed but doesn't want to be thrown in with opens and pros. Not an ureasonable position.

Poster also says he is new, perhaps we could have shown a bit more restraint and patience?

The answer is.... check listings in the NYC area for "the tri-state tour". They have frequent weekend tournaments where A's and B's play and the "REAL" strong (opens and Pros) have their own division.

Unfortunately, there are no guarantees he's talking about New York. We'll find out when he replies, though.

Sorry guys. I thought there was only one tri state. I'm from Indiana and around here the tri state consist of IN, OH, and Kentucky. I figured anyone from around my area would know what I ment and point me in the right direction. My bad.

Second I am a good B player. I want to play in some tournaments that are B Events or even A Events. I'm not looking for a huge OPEN tournament filled with semi-pros and a few pros. And yes I agree that A players are real strong thats why I said "REAL" strong as in the guys A players don't want to even play.

Anyways I saw a Indiana tournament in the tournament forum. I think I'll check that one out in May. Sorry about the mis communication guys.:)
