a while back "beeman" posted why does bustamante stroke low, and then when he hits, it's higher up? there are 3 aspects to francisco's stroke. #1-- warm up. this is the fast, loose, oily machine piston looking movement, that people love to look at, all he's doing here is warming up his stroke, getting prepared. #2--- aiming very low on the cue ball, this makes him see EVERYTHING clearly, the line of aim, the pocket, and all important, angles, collisions and main aim, he will adjust when actually hitting the ball, so he does not miscue, by hitting the cue ball too low. and last, #3, two front end hesitation strokes, for final aiming, this will ensure a straight stroke and follow through, along with heat seeking aim.

Seems like I have seen Efrin do this too and I think for the same reason.
