What never ceases to amaze me, is no matter how much I improve, how many big breaks I make, there will always seem to be those days from time to time where the pockets look so hopelessly small. I'm just amused at how badly I played and almost a week ago the game felt almost easy. I guess I'm being punished for my impertinence.
But one of the beauty's of this game is there is more than one way to get it done. If your potting is unreliable, or at least shakey, safety and tactical play can sometimes make up for it. My opponent played great, I deserved to lose, but I'm pleased that I only lost 3-2 (short, I know). I think if I was a little more patient I might have even been able to pull it out with good tactical play.
What makes me feel better is watching some matches posted on youtube of guys like Neil Robertson missing everything under the sun. The difference being, he can run 70's when he's playing like crap.
