Another Thompson original 1/1. Bacote with 24 Snakewood points. Grip area is figured Bacote with Snakewood accent stripe.

Wow, those are some interesting video's that he's got on his website.

I love his guitars, Great sounding instruments.
 
Bob has "old school" talent and the amount of effort and time he puts into his guitars, just like his cues, really shows. He's been building cues for 25-30 years now and finding one of his cues on the open market is very rare.

I'm going to take some different pic's that show the points in this cue. I was hoping to put this one in my collection as I have a thing for Snakewood, but already have 100 irons in the fire...
 
These two woods blend together really well. Trying to show the contrast between them can be tough....

I'll break down the weight (s) and post them tonight. Thompson's tend to have a slimmer butt/grip area that appeals to a lot of folks. I'll also include those spec's tonight.

Shaft 1- 3.75oz, 12.12mm

Shaft 2- 3.65oz, 12.15mm

Butt- 16.40oz, .825" at joint and flares to 1.195" at buttcap.

Still trying to capture the point work in this cue. The high gloss finish sure is a challenge to photograph...
 
Every Thompson cue is handmade with quality materials. My supply of these cues are running very short and it may be a while before I can get my hands on more. Very, very low production numbers make these cues ultra rare to find for sale.
