looking to step up from the house balls available as the owner doesn't really bother to take care of them or any of the equipment as often as he should. he has two sets of these at $50 each but I'm having a hard time finding any reviews besides the amazon ones.

Any one here played with them?

When you say "he" has two sets available at $50 each, are these the used house balls or new Action replacement ball sets for $50?

As a side note, in my opinion only, I would stay away from the Action balls UNLESS those are the ones you regularly need to play with at this owner's place you are referencing, just due to quality and what you can expect from them over a reasonable play period.

They are brand new sets. Completely unused and being sold to the public. Truth be told, I wouldn't know if the house balls are action ones.

If they are Action ball sets, they sell for an average of $38 online - and not worth that much really, unless any ball is better than none at all. I think the best valued ball set out there for the smart-money man are the Crown Standards by ARAMITH. They polish and play beautifully!

This set of mine below literally has many hundreds of hours of play on them. Not a mark.
