Tiger X LD vs 314^2

I will be purchasing one of these tomorrow for my Predator Ikon. I have hit the 314^2 and while I like the deflection characteristics of it, I just don't like the feel. How does the Tiger X-Ultra LD shaft compare to the 314^2 for feel and squirt?

I'm not sure about the sniper tip (never hit one) how does it compare to a Kamui Black S or an Everest?

And lastly, will the tiger shaft be flush at the joint on the ikon? I had a friend who ordered an ob1 for his Viking and it was just barely smaller at the joint, not a big deal but you could feel it. Thanks

I don't have an answer for your questions regarding the differences in shafts or the tips, but all I can say is that you can never be certain regarding a shaft matching up perfectly to a butt unless you send it to the manufacturer to be matched up. I had a McD butt and bought a McD I-2 Shaft, just thinking for some reason that it would match up perfectly, and of course it didn't. After sending them both back to McD they matched up a different I-2 shaft to the butt I had and shipped them back. I believe this is what is recommended by most manufacturers.

To have an absolute perfect match (and considering it is a production cue) you can request the services of KJ (seyberts) or RAT (muellers), both highly regarded repairmen and active on this forum.

If it was a custom, I would recommend letting the original maker make a shaft for you from a blank.

Regarding the tips (I have no experience with either shaft) snipers are usually regarded as a medium soft tip, but they tend to harden up a bunch with use and as they wear down. A kamui S, everest and sniper are all fairly similar (medium) but not equal in hardness or feel, so you might prefer one over the others.
