Tip Cutter - porper Cut Rite Shaper/Cutter is problematic

Is there a better manual tip cutter than this item http://www.muellers.com/Cut-Rite-ShaperandCutter,5701.html.

It does the job, but puts a gauges on my shaft when using it.

(I have on ob classic with the short ferrule, so it gauges right below the ferrule...I suppose I if had a more normal sized ferrule, it would gauge the ferrule instead.)
