Tip Hardness

I was just wondering what the different benefits are for the different levels of tips. I have played with nothing but LePro and I was thinking about replacing the tip. Im not too sure about the hardness. At the ph that I play, the owner let me use his cue and he has a hard WB tip but I dont remember what brand he said. I liked the way it played and it was definately a different feel than the LePro. I had more control. Is this common for hard tips? I was thinking about a laminated tip but after reading the long thread on laminated tips Im really not sure which kind because I would hate to keep replacing tips. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks

We install tips and I have made this observation. Players with lesser experience seem to want soft tips thinking that it will impart more english. Experienced players usually get a med to hard tip as they know that a proper stroke is what imparts english. JMHO

I agree with that statement 1000%

single layer tip, Triangle, multi layered, Talisman pig skin, S...

That is all you need to know, take that to the bank. I have them both for sale at Fastlarry@bellsouth.net

The triangles are cured and pressed, the tailsmans are in direct from Thailand.
both are fabulous.
