Tip Thickness

Back in the spring i had a medium hard Moori tip installed on my 314 shaft. For a couple of weeks i played with a nickel shaped tip and then decided to try a dime shape. The dime shape seemed to allow me to play with more extreme english.Since then i have only reshaped the tip one more time.My concern is that there is less than 1/8 in.left after the second reshaping but the tip hits and feels better than ever. When i spoke to the house pro he told me not to worry and thats how he liked his tips.I play 10-15 hrs a week.I was wondering if i had left it to long for the 2nd reshaping and does the tip get harder with more play.If so would it make sense to try a harder tip.Any help or suggestions would greatly be appreciated.

If your not having a miscue problem you can continue with that hardness by using the hard or Quick as they call it, seeing they don't offer the MX anymore. They are simular. It doesn't mean that harder is better or that it will last longer. What it means is that you have a level stroke so miscues are minimum for you.

And to add to what Mike said:

The thinner your tip gets (1/8" used to be thick for me, before i switched to moori,) the better your "feel for the ball" will get. Sometimes a thick triangle will feel too soft for me, but if i cut it down around 1/8" or a little lower, it hits a lot better :D .
Gee... this is making me want to take that moori off and go back to the pressed and cut down triangle... See what you did?

Thanks,

Jon
