Need some help from the cuemakers on this one. What exactly is the significance of a titleist conversion. It seems that everytime I see this, it's rare or worth a lot of money if a cuemaker used it. I mean, if they're still making them, why are they worth so much when a cue maker builds a cue with one? Grrr....I'm not sure how to put this in words you guys so bare with me on this one. Ok, if you look in the cue gallery forums, Spanky is showing off his Titleist Mottey with beautifully laid Hoppe style butt. :p Anywho, who said is was a rare cue. But it seems that every cue maker who does this, the cue is rare, what give?

Why is it rare

I think it is rare because the Titlist Blanks are not available anymore as you probably know. Most cuemakers do not bother with the full splice and therefore when you are able to get one of the elite cuemakers to convert a Titlist you have a rare cue.

I own a converted Titlist and it not only looks great, but play great also. But, of course everyone has an opinion so take it for what its worth.
