After the BCA website recommended the book “Aiming On The Cutting Edge” written by Todd “The Impaler” Leveck, I went to his website and attempted to order his book and the other training materials he listed. My first problem occurred when I tried to order certain items, and the process stalled and wouldn’t let me. Then I decided to just order the items the website would allow (w/o stalling), and I selected the option to pay via PayPal. At that point, PayPal indicated that it was not accepting payments from this merchandiser. So I called the contact number on his website and left (numerous) messages. It’s been a week and to date no one has contacted me. Does anyone know if this guy is still around? And has anyone read his book and/or used any of the training aides he advertises?

He is HORRIBLE about returning phone calls, and even worse about returning emails.

I ordered the book, and several of his "training aids". After several weeks of waiting, and many unanswered emails and phone calls, he finally emailed me back to let me know that the books should arrive from the printer in about 2 more weeks (at this time, I had already waited 4 weeks), so I decide, I'll go ahead and continue the wait.

4 weeks later, the book finally shows, but NO training aids...I call him....wirte him several emails...nothing...

Finally, I find a listing on the BCA master instructor list with a phone number on it for him, I call, and the guy answers. I ask him about the aids, and he says "oh, well your card wasn't charged"....when I tell him he's wrong, my card was indeed charged, and I want my aids, or a refund for their price, He got all huffy, said "well the aids are for more advanced players anyway" at which point jackhole hung up on me. The next day, my card was refunded the price of the aids, and the nightmare was over.

As to the book...it's OK...it has every single aiming system you could ever want to know about in the book (with the exception of maybe Hal Houle's) the writing is poor to say the least, but the diagrams are good. It's thick as all sin, and is poorly bound.

If you'd like, I'd be happy to sell you mine. In the grand scheme of things, I feel the book is best served as a door stop, but depending on what your speed is, you may get some excellent use out of it.

That book could of been half as big and still contained the same amount of info. A lot of filler and repitition in that 400 pager...

I ordered it. I can say I didn't learn one thing from all 500 pages. The aiming systems were utterly useless. Imagine a railroad track or a line of balls... Also it took him 6 months to charge my account and ship it. Guess what I didn't have the money in my account at the time cause I didn't think the order would ever get processed. Thanks for nothing.

Call me Mr. Frustration...

I wish I had read your replies earlier, because I could have saved myself a lot of frustration. I just recently placed an order for his book, as well as talked to Todd (or at least someone who claimed to be Todd) on the phone. However, it's been 3 weeks and I haven't received anything. I even paid to have it shipped via Fed-Ex, and nothing shipped via Fed-Ex takes 3 weeks to deliver. Anyway, he (Todd) emailed me a couple of days after I place the order and ensured me it would be shipped within days. As I said it's been 3 weeks and I have no book, and no one will return my calls or email inquiries.

I was also (initially) thinking about ordering his aiming kits, but now I'm not sure if I trust this guy. Before I read your replies I was thinking of seeking legal action, because no one will contact me, and give me an update on my order. I guess I’ll just have to wait for the book, but I won't even consider order ANYTHING from this guy

A frustrated and disappointed player,
Ed
