Tool to resize your pictures

I tried to post a couple of pics the other day. They were 150 KB(?) and AZ has a limit of 100. When u say resize, do u mean changing the actual size of a pic ex: 4"x6" down to 2"x4", or reducing the number of KB? ex: from 150 down to 100?

Open the picture file in Microsoft Paint (comes with every version of Windows).

Click on the Image drop-down menu.

Select Stretch/Skew.

Enter a percentage number (less than 100) in the Horizontal and Vertical boxes.

Click OK.

Your picture will be reduced from its original size to the percentage you selected. So, if you entered 50 and 50, your new picture will be half of the original size.

If you want to keep the old picture intact, save the new smaller picture under another name.

Not everyone runs proprietary operating systems like Windows and OS X. In fact, many run free software operating sytems like GNU/Linux and various flavors of BSD.

A better solution for this job would be 'The Gimp' which can be downloaded from http://gimp.org

The Gimp is free-as-in-speech software.

This tool would give you the same size of pictures with different color depths. You can then review and save them on your PC. Since it is browser based, it will work on any operating systems.

I know google has a tool for managing photos. This includes editing and resizing. I believe it's called Picasa2.
