coaching

i might be there sometime this summer my girlfriends from there, if your ever in toronto give me a call,

I might be going down to Toronto to watch some of the Canadians, so I'd be interested if I do in fact make it down.

I think my mechanics needs a tune up, and my safety game needs a lot of work.

i will be at the canadians, so if you decide to come give me a call or send an email and i'll sort your game out for you and give you some tips on your safety game as well.

I should be there as well, hopefully see you then.

Competing or watching? I'm hoping to be in town to watch the snooker championships. I watched them in Ottawa a couple of years a go and was dissapointed that the quality of tables kept the players from playing their respective games. So I'm looking forward to seeing what our guys can actually do.

Well if I get through the qualifiers here I will be playing. Were the tables poor last year, I was not there but I heard they had new 6811 on them.

It was at shooters last year so I'm not sure. However there were quite a few centuries.

In 2007 when they held the tournament at the EX the tables were terrible, I heard a lot of complaints. I was there for two of the days, and the biggest break I saw was a 40 sumthin, other than that nothing higher than 30. I watched Alain warm up and he wasn't making more than 20-30 breaks in practice. They were just too tight. There was only one century, 115 I think.

I saw some video of the Canadians from a while back and they played on those nasty dufferins with the bucket corners and the goofy center pockets, same as the one I practice on daily cause it's close by lol.
Once a week I go and play on the Riley aristocrats steel block and pull my hair out hehe

cameron

i will be there just watching, shooters is 1 of the clubs i coach out of, where are u from?

vancouver

is that where u developed ur game? i have interest in going to vancouver but only if i had enough people to coach while i was there, your cue action in the pic looks orthodox but wouldnt be able to really tell you until i seen you in person.

I've never played riley's but I'd like to. I used to play on very soft brunswick tables. I thought I was pretty decent until I played on some dufferins in town that have tight pockets. Humbling to say the least.

I'm from Ottawa. Unfortunately I don't know too many good snooker players in the area, or at least I haven't seen any. It's tough improve your matchplay when no one is making breaks higher than 20.

I started out with a grip like Cliff Thorburn, arm tucked in. When I went to the UK I decided to get more orthodox. Over the last year I have tweaked my stance, grip and bridge length. My consistency has improved but I still have some issues I need a good coach to help with and break building ideas.

Maybe I could get a group of players from the club to make it worth your while.
