I go absolutely nuts when the guy one table over is being loud and obnoxious or there are kids running around or beautiful women are strutting their stuff. If I was playing Keith McCready I'd probably wind up in prison for the rest of my life because of his antics.

I'm interested in hearing who are some the best pool sharkers out there past or present? If you have a good stories please share them...

What kind of stunts have they pulled?

I always hear people talking about Earl Strickland ...what matches are there out there available on Accu-Stats that show some of his loud and obnoxious behavior? Who else out there are amongst the top in this area of the game and what matches have interesting and unusual stuff going on in them?

There is one segment on Accu-Stats highlights for 2002 that show Earl at work. Another story that I personally witnessed was at the Glass City Open when Earl was playing TK from FLA and told him "How can I win, you got God on your Side."

I've never seen Keith try to shark anyone. He likes to talk and get the crowd involved, but I don't think he's trying to shark anyone. I think he's a fun player to watch and a fun player to play against. Now, there are some players that come to mind when I think of sharking ...

In World 9-ball Championship 2002, quarterfinals Earl-Takahashi. the japanese pulling his jumpcue out of his case and earl told him something like "c'mon, be a man!". Takahashi renounced to jump the ball, tried a kickshot, missed and earl ran the balls, broke and ran a couple of racks more, the nervous japanese started missing and earl won the match.

I once witnessed a 1-hole game where when his opponent was running out- must've only needed 1 or 2 balls- a guy said loudly, "this guy doesn't want to play pool, he wants to fight!"

Well, the guy didn't get out, but won the game. Oh, yes, they did end up fighting.

Tuff action!

Keith's my favorite player out of everyone... I love his antics. I just wouldn't want to play him. And I'm sure your right Keith is just being Keith nonetheless with my personality type I'd probably want to wrap my cue around his neck.

Either you can shoot under the hot lights or you can't.

Several years back, I was on temoprary duty to Hurlbert Field near Ft. Walton Beach, FL. My hotel room on the beach shared the same parking lot with "Sammy's", a well known gallery of art, sometimes refered to as a Gentelmen's Club. Some evenings after getting off work, I didn't feel up to driving across the bridge to Starcade, so instead, I'd just walk across the parking lot to Sammy's where they had a couple of bar boxes in the back of the club. I sorta' got to be a regular there, and all the dancers.....err, entertainers, got to know me. Well, they had one young lady dancing....I mean entertaining, there who was a pretty good shooter. She made almost as much hustling action on those bar boxes as she did on stage.
Anyway, more than once I'd see her in action with some guy, and after missing a shot, she would turn from the table, stop and reach back for the chalk, then drop it on the floor, so she could bend over to pick it up.......did I mention that she shot pool in the same outfit that she wore on stage? Needless to say, this move usually had quite an effect on the poor tourist she was playing! Saw her pull that one off many a time. She also had a few other Shark moves she liked to pull if the "bendover" move didn't do the trick, but this is a family forum, so I'm not sure I should go into it here. Suffice it to say, she had a good act, and used it to her advantage.

In Vegas, back in the 80's, two road players...(who shall remain nameless until MY BOOK comes out)...were playing a "social" 9 ball match, race to ten for $100...

The shooting player , who had 9 games, was shooting the 6 ball...

The player who was behind...who only had 6 games...asked the shooter "Do you inhale or exhale when you shoot?"
...the shooter started breathing hard and "dogged" the easy 6ball and lost the rest of the games ...score 9 to 10 !!!!!

...I will give you a slight hint...one of the players now lives in southern cal...
