Touching up butt with lacquer finish

Hello,
I bought several butts with the Preditor logo buffed off and am having a difficult time getting a good finish restored due to the lacquer finish. The lacquer finish won't blend in.
Any suggestion?

Sand down to bare wood, reseal and then refinish. There are hundreds of different finishes and without knowing what's already on there it would be pretty hard to match.
