Got my new cloth today, from ebay. Championship Tour Edition - European Blue. I didn't know Tour Edition had a nap to it. Can anyone confirm this? Does it develop little felt balls like some other nap cloth? I think I should've went with Simonis. I just want to make sure I got the same cloth that I ordered before I install it.

It doesn't, Thats what you get when you buy off e-bay. Go to a Billiard supply that is a pro at working on tables. It is not going to cost you that much more to deal with him and he is probably a fellow shooter like your self. Butterflycues

Does tour edition have any markings on it to signify that it is tour edition or the cheap crap.

Tour Edition should be nearly as smooth as the Simonis 860 and slightly heavier than the Simonis. Are you sure they didn't ship you Titan or the other lower grade stuff?

I'm going to contact them today. They have lots of sales. I would think they know what they're doing. We'll see.

Thanks for your help

Tour Edition is embroidered along the side not printed like simonis,pm me with your adress and I'll send you a sample so you're sure to get the good stuff.

Anyone got a picture of tour edition where you can see what the fabric looks like? Here's a picture of simonis. Does it look exactly like this?

nap

there is a nap on the underside, place that side on the slate. You should see the individual threads, just like Simonis, only tighter.

The nap will show on the reverse of the cloth the up side is on the inside of the folds. This way it can't get dirty in transit...there will be no pilling and it is faster than simonis and holds up much better. We have it on all 12 of our tables here and are very happy.

Tour Edition ...... You Can See The Difference

Having just put Tour Edition on my table - you can easily tell the difference between it and any other cloth (the Granito is very close). Very smooth, no piling, no knap tighter weave.

You made a good choice but it sounds like you got the wrong stuff.

Tour Edition 3030

I just put it on my table. They claim it is non-directional but, it does have a slight nap. It plays good, slightly faster than 860.

I found out it was actually Titan I recieved. Tour edition looks way different. The seller sent me the good stuff today. So hopefully I will have my table up soon.

When my shop sells tables we put Championship cloth on. Including Euroblue. (Wait till you see our Hot Pink). It's pretty decent for home use. And plays fairly well. Not like Simonis of course but costs much less.

It does have a nap but on an 8' table you will not notice it that much. Just be sure to brush your cloth in the direction you break. Don't swirl the brush just go in a straight line. It lays the nap down so you won't even notice it.

On a 9' table you do want Simonis. But we have done 9' tables with Championship cloth and have not heard any complaints.
