Well I'm back in blighty(UK) after several months travelling and playing pool in Asia. Unfortunately I stepped off the plane and into hospital for a week in the UK wth suspected Malaria after going to Angkor Wat for a few days in Cambodia with no protection (for Malaria :p). Fortunately it was just a severe case of Tongsillitis and I just managed to get my BCA entry in on time.

I haven't played nearly as much pool as I had hoped so far on this trip but I can't wait to get to the good old US of A in a few weeks and start putting the hours in. I will be in NYC for about a week to visit friends and practice for thefor the BCA and VNEA events in Vegas. Then Reno for the open and hopefully hard times in sacremento for the summer jamboree. After that who knows, either more comps in the states of Taiwan if I think I have a chance to qualify.

Looking forward to meeting a few AZers along the way.

Viva Las Vegas!

This is great that you've been able to live out a fantasy. Maybe you should be taping all of it for a pool movie like they did in "Pumping Iron" with Arnold in bodybuilding or "Endless Summer" for surfing.

Yeah there have been some good highlights like my time in Manila and also Thailand with regards to pool but not enough "meat" for anything entertaining from a pool perspective. I was unlucky to miss out on a European tour event in italy on the way home (it was full) and the Japan Open (completely forgot about it!). I also couldn't play in the WPC playoffs in London because I wont be in the Uk for the finals. I do expect this to improve dramatically in the states though. But if it was planned well I think an interesting documentry could be put together from a round the world trip. Especially if it contained the big tournaments like the US Open, WPC, Vegas and some big money matches against the likes of Efren in Manila, Stalev in Russia, Petroni in Italy etc.. Also a few nights out with pagulyan in Manila wouldn't go a miss from what I hear! Maybe its just me but I love to travel and the exoticness of something like this would appeal even if somebody else did it. I'll see what happens after the states, my main concern is to get my game back ASAP :-)
